Non- Obstructive Azoospermia refers to a condition where sperm production is non existent or poor. The sperm produced is not sufficient to show up in the semen. In such cases the sperm production issues can result from hormonal problems, testicular failure, or varicocele.

Sperm can be extracted via a procedure called testicular sperm extraction (TESE) which when combined with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) can increase the chances of pregnancy. In some cases, doctors may recommend lifestyle or medication changes or recommend hormone treatment.
